Raft-ups have NEVER been so much fun!!!
|
Apple Pie Shots These are some of the tastiest shots around, and is sure to get the raft-up started right 1 Gallon of Apple Cider Combine the Apple Cider, the Apple Juice, and the Sugar. Heat and stir until all the sugar is disolved. Add 10-15 Cinnamon Sticks while warm. Cool. Once cool, add Everclear. Chuck says "I went heavier than what I was told and added a pint, but I thought it could have used 2x or more." A shot of Redi-whip on top will finish it. Credit: Chuck and Patty of Blue Moon |
Party Girl A delicious, yet evil, concotion that will sneak up on you. Not to be mixed with Linenkugel - EVER. 1 part Vodka Mix it up, and serve it over ice. In the imagined words of Judge Pauly "Oh dear God."

Michael Chapeau's Special Bloody Marys An OMG version of your favorite classic, but with a twist! Hand's down, it's simply the best Bloody Mary you've ever had. 1 part empty glass After spotting Mike Chapeau in the campground area in the morning, approach with the 1 part empty glass and 5 medium-sized ice cubes. Extending your arm straight out will produce this magical nectar of the Gods. Consuming this hearty breakfast of yum-yum will erode the slight rally hangover. Credit: Mike Chapeau of Aye Chapeau So |
Pirate's Punch Just in time for "Speak like a Pirate Day" (9/19), this ancient punch mixture will actually help you slur your words. Just like a real pirate! 1 cup Bacardi Rum Throw it all in a pitcher, and slosh it around. If it's too strong or too sweet, add a little more cranberry juice. If you're taking it on the boat with you, be sure to wait and add ice at the time of pour - otherwise you'll end up with a water-logged pirate. And nobody likes a water-logged pirate. AAARRRRGGGHHH, Matey! Credit: Tammy Friederichs |
Blue Pearl A perfect Summer drink when sitting on the deck, or floating in the boat. If you drink enough of these, you can feel like you're on the water, even through you're on your deck! 2 parts Absolut Kurant Fill a tall glass to the rim with ice cubes. Pour Absolut Kurant and Blue Curacao over the ice. Top up with lemon-lime soda. Top with a lemon slice. Drink it down, and make yourself another! Credit: Dave Anderson of JAWBREAKER |

Gin Buckets (aka "Juice") Anytime you make a drink by the gallon, you know it's gonna be money. Add in the caffiene, and you'll be able to stay up long enough to drink it down. Sweet. 1 fifth Gin Mix it all together (makes 1 Gallon!), and you're off to the river! Be sure to share with your friends!

"Slushy" No Really - That's the Name! This may not be the best drink to take on the boat, but it sure can be a hit when on the deck or at the pool. It was originally called Vodka Slush, but with some of the added ingredients, it became known as Slushy. 8 cups water Boil the water and sugar until the sugar is dissolved. Let cool, then add lemonade and orange juice, and mix well. Take one of the empty cans, and start pouring in your liquor: 1 can Vodka, 1 can White Spiced Rum, 1 can Peach Schnapps, 1/2 can Malibu Rum. Mix well, then freeze. You may need to mix it up again while it freezes. To make the drink, scoop the frozen mixture in a glass until about 2/3 full, the top off with 7-UP or Sprite. WARNING: Drinking too many of these may tend to make you swim naked... Credit: Tami Kellen or Surrender the Booty! |
